sorry to here about your struggles and your mother's illness, but you are so wrong to curse at anyone for reaching out for help, you don't know what lifestyle anyone else there is living , i personally have made sacarfices all my life, and have gone without for weeks and months, have gotten off my ass and worked mile to work and back to where i sleep at nights, So don't put GOD in this picture if you damning someone for reaching out for help, remember someone helped him carry his cross, and gave him water. yes i agree don't give up but if you need help ask for it, would you accept help seem that what's you asking for without asking.
in response to helpinghand35801...I would encourage u to ask this question to one of the aidpage contributors. U will find there pictures on the main page on the right hand side. They talk with alot of people everyday and I bet they know someone(: Thank you for joining aidpage!
Thank you for your kind-hearted post! Please refer to the attached link.A few months ago, I made every effort possible to help this Aidpage member find alternative transportation to and from his Doctor’s appointments besides the Veterans bus.Using this form of transportation takes about 3 to 4 hours roundtrip for each Doctor’s visit. He has endured multiple skin grafts, which has made his skin highly sensitive.Being in a sitting position for long periods of time causes damage to his skin.Unfortunately, I was unable to get find him the help he needs.Perhaps you can contact him directly in a one-to-one message to let him know about it.
Hi I've just about tried everything I know about so that's why I am now on here. We need help we live in Hawaii. And yes everyone from the mainland is usually like oh your in paradise. Yes and no. It's beautiful but when you have been born and raised here and have leaved always below poverty most of your childhood and now doing the same with your own children, the palm trees slowly disappear, and the colors in the sunset aren't so bright anymore. The cost of living over here is thee craziest. I keep hearing everyone talking about how expensive a gallon of gas is in the mainland, we are almost at 5.00 a gallon of REGULAR. And it has not been at 3. In over a year. For rent I paid 1250.00 for a two bedroom apt. And I thought that was a good deal. I soon moved with my father after that and together we payed 1475.00 for a 3 bedroom house and that was a steal. Will I guess what I'm trying to say is any kind of help anyone out there can help me with will be very very much appreciated. Just to tell everyone a little about my family, Im 27 year old single mother of 3 beautiful girls. I once had a great and perfect all American but in a Hawaiian kind of twist family. I had great credit a great husband, great kids, a great house that we where buying, great cars. Of course my husband left me and my kids for someone else, he was the provider so I lost my home to fore closer and my car got repo I basically lost everything but my children. Along with him leaving me I was also became a victim of violence from him I think because he new he had done wrong and really screwed up he took it out on me. Now three years later I'm still struggling I lost my job and now am on un-employment which is basically nothing. A whole $374.00 every Two weeks. I get food stamps and now that I am unemployed i have job searched and applied for finical through welfare. If anyone knows if another program or anything that could help with anything. Please god someone answer our prayers. Thank you and ALOHA

IS ANYBODY going to VOTE for OBAMA. After yesterday's posting he is TRYING real hard to LOOK GOOD to the public. Even hugging a woman who is homeless! But did he give her money or food or save her home.... YOU KNOW the one he made sure it was foreclosed. Because it is not the GREEDY brethrens he has, the ones that are pruning him to be the WORLD BOSS (One World Order). The One World Order that assasinated the only POPE that did not agree with ONE WORLD ORDER, because if you read the BIBLE it is the END for us all. We will ALL be INDIGENTS.... WITHOUT a home, without food, without a CAR, BELIEVE IT or not this is the GOOD TIMES!!! We can Thank OBAMA.... for driving this COUNTRY a #1 to a less than #20 in the world. BUT he wants everybody to FOCUS on Africa not the AMERICAN economy......GUESS WHY..... BECAUSE HIS DIRTY HAND IS ALL OVER IT! our DESTRUCTION. HOMELESS U.S.A. ..... come ONE come ALL!!!
I have been looking for a decent paying job for along time. I'm starting to think that theres no other way but to go about this the wrong way, and I really dont want to think like that. Let me give you some background. I'm a female-to-male transgender (i was diagnosed with GID, which is known as Gender Identity Disorder) and i'm also a fulltime inline study (my major is Criminal Investigations). I want this more than anything i have ever wanted in my entire life, and its no like i go around asking people for money. Thats not what this is about. Please dont get the wrong idea. I'm asking for help right now because it seems to be my only way to live a decent life. I want to get married and be normal. I dont want to walk around as a freak the rest of my life. So i'm begging you, please help me.

am ln need of work a permanent job i am 60 and its tough as i have been self employed for decades and now am broke with not even enough for rent i have a van so i use hat but the insurance is out and i just need help my girlfriend depends on me and we have no one to turn to so if you can lend a hand it would be a blessing
My family has always struggled financially. There were times where there was nothing to eat, no bed to sleep on, and no "decent" clothes on our backs. We made it though. With sacrifice, determination, and a dim light of hope we were able to have a home of our own, a new car, and never worry about when the next meal will be. WE NEVER ASKED FOR HELP. We did it together, as a family, on our own. Our pride certainly was costly because there were times when we could have applied for assistance, sleep in a shelter, go to soup kitchens, etc. but we didn't. We did have God, but I am certain OUR persistence to not give up and live the American dream was a BIG part of it to. If you don't have a car, walk your ass to the bus stop, my mom walked 4 miles while pregnant to work. I walked 6 to my job until I received a bike. I got any job I could I even worked humbly as a janitor at my OWN HIGHSCHOOL. We are struggling again now though, my mother got stage 4 stomach cancer and it was very costly, and going to a university isn't cheap either. Although I transferred to a community college, got a second part time job, everything is going down hill again. I fear that once again I'd be that young girl with the world on her shoulders, trying her best to be the second parent to 4 other children. My mother's insurance has run out, without treatment she will die. We are far behind our mortgage. Bills just keep piling up. But fuck it, I am not going to ask for help. I am going to survive, and embrace all that shit life just LOVES to throw in my face. You will all survive too, as long as you NEVER GIVE UP.

It seems as though you have a few things going on here.
If you have been harrassed/abused at work and are about to be fired because of your sexuality, you must know that you are protected by law. Either your opwn personal attorney can assist you or you can seek assistance with the EEOC or ACLU
FAFSA can assist with financial aid and student loans for school. Also check with student services and the financial aid office on campus. You might want to check with fastweb for additional scholarship information.Â
Without a job, more likely than not, you will need a co-signer, UNLESS you go to a "buy here/pay here" shop. You will most likely pay more , but you may not need a cosigner. ONE THING I DO WANT TO STRESS HERE- have a mechanic you trust, inspect the car completely BEFORE you sign!!! If you do not know one, you can have carchex do it for you. It is a @ $120, but they will go to the car and thoroughly inspect it for you. While I know its a lot of money upfront, the fact of the matter is, if you buy used, you want to make sure of what you are getting. You certainly do not want to sign for your car, drive it off the lot and have your engine die on you. Know what you are buying! I hope this helps, let me know if there is anything else... best of luck to you!
I myself am about to get the axe. I'm gay and I've been hiding and been abused for far too long, I just applied to get a car today and I'll be in there for a while till I get a job, but is there any loans I can obtain without a co-signer? I'm staying in school the best I can and I really don't want to loose my education over my peace of mind...any suggestions?

That is really nice of you but if you have needs you need to think about that also. Click on my picture and it will take you to my profile page, I think, click on blog. Look for the postings.
I have a listing for house repair. You can also , depending on where you live, call a church, high school, college or sometimes a comunity partnership program and ask them if they have a program that will help you. If they tell you that they don't because they don't have the funds. Let me know, I can furnish them with that information.
Aidpage Team has put together a page just for newcomers, but as with any large forum site I know that even I did not find things right away and just wanted to add to the ease of use of Aidpage.
Namaste-Anora
Profile Basic Information: It is important for the ease of other users that you fill out your profile. Aidpage will not ask you for your personal information, but there is a spot for your city, state (country). Fill this in so that when people are doing searches to aid you they have a better idea of where to start. My own advise is to at least give a workable user name or at least a first name or nick name. It makes it easier to speak with those online. This is not speak for others, this is just what I've noticed in years of online forum activity. Using the name such as "Sally needs help" is far easier to manage in responses than "Mad as fox in a hen house", if you take my meaning.
Profile Picture:The second thing I recommend, and again this is my own humble opinion and not that of aidpage or other users is to post a picture. Online it is common to see avatar's other then our own picture when on websites. We know from studies done in communication studies that people are more likely to help another human being if they look them in the eyes. On a site where the entire premise is "help", a picture speaks volumes that we might not otherwise be able to send with just our words.
Profile Biography: This is not as ominous as it seems. A brief explanation about why you are on Aidpage, your needs, wants, and a bit about yourself can add a great deal to the inter-relations between others. It allows someone to view you as not just a random name on a webpage, but as an invidual. You've now personalized the experience not only for yourself but for another.
Get Involved: Even if you are here because you need to assistance get involved. Try to put up one helpful link in your blog each time that you log in, and comment on at least one other person's request. There is no requirement for participation at Aidpage, this is simply my own humble advice. When you give, you get.
Posting Links: I often times forget this myself, but use the link icon in the tool bar to post links to websites. Long website links do not wrap and make it impossible for another to view. The best way to do this is to type the name of the article or website, highlight the entire name, click the link button in the tool tray (it looks like a small chain), and paste your link into the box.
Keywords: Posting keywords or phrases below each of your blogs will help others to find your particular blog in a search. I typically type the entire name of the organization I am mentioning in one box, and then follow it up with keywords that pertain to the organization. A good way to get these keywords if you do not know what to use is to look at the website itself. If you type your organization into a google search you will get keywords that post to the google search list of links.
Add Friends: One way to get your profile looked at is to add friends. The more exposure your page has to others the more likely your need will be seen.
When I first came to this website, I came here to ask for help to get a front door (used or new). I'm a widow who has a low paying job. My front door in almost off the hinges, its an old door and need new wood all around the door. The locks barely work. But after reading and saw that so many people need far more than what I need, I decided to see what I can do for others in need. I passed on information in hopes that it can help someone.

That’s all from me. Do you have other inspirational positive quotes that you’ll like to share? Let me know in the comments!
It burns me when I have been promised help from people here and they don't follow through. Three people offered to help me decultter take pictures after the holidays and it never happened! Or offer to help me in another way and not much or nothing comes of it. I am not that kind of person who tells someone that they will help and just don't.
I have meet a lot of good people here that I am proud to call my friends.
That is my gripe for the day besides my computer not working totally right the pressure of making ends meet, finding work, trying to get someone to get me to dmv to get my license, cat to the vet and seeing my cat want to go outside to mingle with one of his kind which would result in big vet bill.
Someone the other day put it so well in a one to one without me bring the subject up. She said they will help you once then not return calls or you get their answering machine and she went on after all you did for them. She ended it saying pitafull.
It is like you are forgotten if you don't have family, relatives or close friends you have known all your life that don't care about what happens to you which is really pitafull.
I had no idea. I checked and sure enough, it never posted. I notified PayPal and have a transaction number which I will send to you. Should be cleared up quickly.
in response to ICEVERYTHING...What? My neighbor had the $500 buck shoes ! I had a wish granted at WUAH for shoes but not for that much but I haven't gotten the money yet to order my shoes. :)
Here I am commenting on my own post. Today I get the same stuff you need to walk around more and you will die an old lonely lady crap.
I talked to someone on the phone and she said she just is saying that to make herself more superior. And why do people do that to older people?? I want to move so bad it isn't funny to a two bedroom and I just want to go back to the way I use to be. And if we knew what lay ahead of us I would have never moved back to where I grew up as I didn't like it here and my heart has always been at the beach and that is where I use to live. Now, I am going to find the rescue remedy to calm down.
I better get going and try to get something done as cat ran around here and wore himself out till 330pm when he will be demanding attention and treats.
Hi StarShine I am so glad to here from you and i know excatly what you are saying I say the comlete dumbest things I can not even belive I said it after i am done I am totally stupid sometimes and it is ridiculas to me and I am so imbaressed. It is crazy. I want all of you to know i DO SAY DUMB THINGS SOMETIMES and I am so sorry, I love all of you dearly and i am so sorry i say all tjhese weird things but I love you all hugs.
Last night I went to bed with goals in mind of what I wanted to accomplish. Where I was going to spend my energies on as two days of getting ready for the dentist dispersed them. Finally I got the crown back in Tuesday thanks to my dentist who came to get me as he is 5 minutes away and believe me that was much appreciated by me.
My neighbor came over the last two days helping out with some cleaning of the kitchen floor and back today with sweeping the carpet up which is so soiled that the carpet cleaners said it should have been replaced as the stains will come back. She got her pledge dusted a part of the sideboard. I didn't ask her to do it. For some reason this place is cooler than hers. She noticed it so I cranked the heater on. I never have lost money before and I tell you I have here and other things are missing. After she left and came back around noon just as I was starting breakfast I noticed I had $48 and should have triple it in cash as I still haven't gotten my id license replaced. When she came back, I told her missing money again. I was just floored what she said and thought WTF. She said, I guess you can't have anyone over and I didn't take it. I am wearing $500 dollar pair of shoes. First, off I just made a comment not accussing anyone. This person is suppose to be a good Catholic and she said you will just die a lonely old lady with no friends. Then left for lunch somewhere. I couldn't believe it as I can never imagine saying that to anyone. Here she was speaking to me again and then this. What makes people be so rude? Are they lonely too, not feeling good or feel superior than you?
I talked to a few friends as i was just hurt by the comment. I was upset to say the least. I walked away from breakfast, the computer and took long nap.
I told this person that someone from another state has offered to come over to help me get the heavy things out and help me go through the things plus this person can lift 125 pounds. She said how much is this person charging you? I told her nothing.
My neigbor is heavier than me and I am not saying this as a bad thing but has strength were she can lift things and really cleans her place daily.
While at the dentist office and remembering me driving back and forth to the beach looking for a place then working at my DC's office and at home for him, it made me sad as i would love to be able not to eat breakfast go to work like him or others there.
I just wish I could do what others take for granted. And I know others who feel the same way. We are all faced with some limitations due to something or the other.
Well first of all I have always found it to be easier to tell other people what to do than to do it yourself. The fact that such a site as this even exists is something to be grateful for.
It doesn't happen a lot but I have seen people from time to time post that they have received money - for instance one person posted here that they received around $400 in their Paypal account.
Besides if you think about it if someone is going to send someone money here from Aidpage I'm sure that they would want to be anonymous because if people found out that person A, B or C was giving out money then there would be numerous requests from people.
Also have you seen some of the amounts of money that people have been asking for? $50,000, $100,000 - some of these requests are quite big!
If one is at least making the effort then you shouldn't consider it banging your head against the wall. At least it is something that you tried to do.
That is a good idea - if it is material things one's local freecycle.org is great or craigslist.org as shipping is expensive. But if it is monetary maybe people do that in private here. I assume best to ask Aidpage Team about it.
What do I mean? Well we here on aidpage are all in need of some sort or nother. We can give what we have if what we have to spare is needed. But considering how many are here asking for help and I am supposing not actually getting any, then we are banging our heads against the wall.
So maybe we should create a seperate area where those who have to give can post what they have and then be paired with those who need that thing.
So, I who needs a truck, would be paired with those who had a truck to give. Then we can see a tally that says, 100000 helped today, or a larger number perhaps.
Or maybe even a place where posters can post the help they have recieved here and we can see we are not just spinning our wheels and banging our heads against the wall.
